How does PRP work?
Platelet Rich Plasma is found within our blood. It contains a high concentration of growth factors that have been used for over 20 years for cellular rejuvenation, healing, and collagen production. A blood draw is performed from the arm region and spun in a centrifuge to isolate the PRP. The PRP separates into a yellow substance that is filled with growth factors. PRP is drawn off, injected, or used topically to aid in collagen production and rejuvenation in that given area. Some clients are looking for natural solutions to combat signs of aging, as opposed to toxins and dermal fillers. PRP injections are the most natural way of stimulating your body's collagen, using your own growth factors, with the least risk of side effects.
Treatment Expectations:
- Before PRP injections, drink plenty of water! This will aid us in drawing blood and obtaining more plasma.
- The best results are achieved if PRP is injected in a series of 3 treatments (1 treatment every 4-6 weeks), with noticeable results occurring once the series is complete over the course of the next 3-6 months.
- After PRP injections, the client should plan for 2 weeks of healing due to possible bruising and swelling.

What are the benefits of PRP for treating the under-eye area?
PRP injections in the under-eye area are an excellent treatment for addressing fine lines and wrinkles in this region for optimum rejuvenation. PRP contains growth factors that stimulate collagen production when injected into the skin. By stimulating new collagen production, platelet-rich plasma helps tighten loose skin around the eyes to lessen the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles like crow’s feet, while also eliminating bags underneath the eyes.

How is the treatment performed?
1. First, patients will undergo a blood draw.

How long does PRP under-eye last?
Though PRP under-eye treatments last longer than other injectable methods on the market today. For many patients, PRP injections will improve one’s under-eye appearance for anywhere between one to two years, depending on the patient’s current skin condition (and severity of concerns) and one’s age.
